Survey Shows Small Business Owners Not Ready To Say Recovery
A Market Probe conducted survey for U.S. Bank is creating headlines this week. The survey polled 1,004 small business owners across the United States to measure the health and outlook of the American small business owner. While much media and government opinion is one of recovery, the study clearly expresses that small business owners are not yet ready to say the same. The data clearly shows that while many small business owners do believe the economy is improving, they are slow to hire or invest in growth.
Some highlights from the study:
- 78% of small business owners believe the US to still be in a recession.
- 41% believe their local economy to be weaker than the national economy.
- Only 22% of small business plan to hire in the next 12 months.
